Paint Correction

Level 1 Paint Correction

A single stage correction is a type of paint correction process that is used to improve the appearance of a vehicle's paint. This process is typically used to remove minor imperfections such as light swirl marks, scratches and oxidation. The process involves using a machine polisher and a specialised polishing compound to remove a very fine layer of the clear coat on the vehicle's paint. This removes the imperfections and leaves a smooth, glossy finish. A single stage correction is less aggressive than a multi-stage correction and is typically used on vehicles with relatively new paint or those that are in good condition

Duration 1 - 2 days. Prices start from £300
Note: The price of the detail depends on the size and condition of the vehicle upon inspection

Level 2 Paint Correction

A two-stage correction is a more involved paint correction process that is used to remove more severe imperfections such as heavy swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation. It's a process that is usually needed on vehicles that have been poorly maintained or have been on the road for a long time. The two-stage correction process involves two steps, the first step is a heavy compounding process that uses a machine polisher and a more aggressive polishing compound to remove a significant amount of the clear coat on the vehicle's paint. This step aims to remove the majority of the imperfections. The second step is a finishing process that involves using a less aggressive polishing compound and machine polisher to refine the paint and bring out the shine. This step is to achieve a high-gloss finish. After the two-stage correction, the paint should look smooth, glossy and have a deep shine.

Level 3 Paint Correction

A three-stage correction is a comprehensive paint correction process that is used to remove severe imperfections such as heavy swirl marks, deep scratches, oxidation, and other paint defects. This process is typically used on vehicles that have been severely neglected, have been in an accident or have been exposed to harsh weather conditions for an extended period of time. The three-stage correction process involves three steps:

The first step is a heavy compounding process, which uses a machine polisher and an aggressive polishing compound to remove a significant amount of the clear coat on the vehicle's paint. This step aims to remove the majority of the imperfections. The second step is a refining process, which uses a less aggressive polishing compound and machine polisher to further refine the paint and remove any remaining imperfections. The final step is a finishing process, which uses a fine polishing compound and machine polisher to enhance the shine and bring out the full potential of the paint. This step is to achieve a high-gloss finish. After the three-stage correction, the paint should look flawless, smooth, glossy and have a deep shine.
